You Can’t Change the World But You Can Change Yourself

People all want to change the world with physical force or emotion. There are very few people willing to change themselves to change the world. The world never functions through your own will. You either become prostitutes (slaves) of the material world or you become masters. You don’t live for others but live for self. The quality of your Yuan Shen sets the measurement for how to see the world. A stronger Yuan Shen gets you to enjoy the world more than the ordinary people. The material world only disturbs the stillness of your Yuan Shen. We can learn to stay in stillness to face uncertainty. We can learn not to take any disturbance from the outside world. Although a pebble may ripple the surface of the water, know that the pond is unfathomably deep. Calm your mind and intent, balance and harmonize the Xing and Ming. Stay focused on the purpose of your life. Detach from the need of the self. Accept and be loyal to the true self and then you will change the world around you forever.

Every person maintains their own destiny, yet it is a unique journey. How they participate, come and go is a unique journey. Never judge nor interfere with another person’s journey. You can be a facilitator and an example, but you can’t be an enforcer for another person’s journey. Each person has their own unique journey to decipher for them self. You can only be a one hundred percent compassionate facilitator in their journey, thereby, turning the wheel to “myself” as to how “I” can be the best facilitator to their unique journey. When each person’s journey finishes they go on to the next journey. You need to learn to let go of people in your life so that you allow them to move on and also, so that you can move on. Let your loved ones finish their journey without the burden of you holding onto them. The world will never dance for you. It has its own rhythm. Can you change the world one iota with your will? No! You can only impact on it. If you can change your world, then the world changes; you must begin with the self. The world will always follow its own way. Change yourself and the world changes.

Find the master within. Don’t assume that you are enlightened to master others! Be the master of your own. Be a personal guide through example but not a teacher. Walk the talk. Ask yourself how you can help. To introduce the tasty apple to others you have to first taste it yourself. Design a program to help another person. “I can do it. I am the master of my own.” Never limit your potential. Dream Big! Don’t limit the creativity of your dream. Continue to be your dream. Be the dream weaver of Tao. When the lion king is absent then the monkey becomes the master. The true master makes masters. You can be a master of your own. You can’t run away from your own devil.

Your Life Show is For Yourself

You must be brave and see through your fears. Are you the entertainer of life or is life entertaining you? What do you choose? Life doesn’t go by what you want. Entertain and look beyond. Look and live in both dimensions and then live in the third dimension. Live beyond the spiritual and material realms. Live in the place of the hidden dragon. You understand this when begging on your feet for three months.

Your life show is for show to yourself, not for show to others. One mistake we humans often make is that, “life is a stage and life is a play.” No! This is like prostitution. You are asking for approval and hoping to get it. You are just seeking to please. This is a big mistake. Life is not just your showing for others. It is a part of your show. And you are in control of your show. Do you understand? You are the show. Do not prostitute yourself. You should always learn to preserve your dignity and respect. Know who you are and what you want in your own life. Never downgrade. Life is not about survival. It is about how to find a way home. Be in the show to entertain yourself, not others. It’s a lonely journey. It’s a one-man show. If they don’t cheer for you they don’t understand your show. So what! They are in your show. That’s part of it. To get them to understand you have to change everything: posture, costume, script. Wrong!

By compromising you delay your journey, sometimes even reroute your journey. You compromise your intelligence and your dignity. Once you lose it you feel worthless. That is a sickness. You continue floating in that inner cycle and you are compromising your value. In the end you really compromise your journey. The purpose of life is being compromised. In the end, who is the biggest victim? You! Why? You miss the end of the journey. You are searching your own self. This is the journey. Why would you sacrifice so much just because you need to be somebody? You give away your control. In order to become somebody you sacrifice your integrity. They give you an illusional approval; the illusional identity and you believe it to be real. This is what I call prostitution. You lose. You lose big time. You know where you are going. So no matter what is offered, it might sound very sweet, very hopeful, very valuable, but you cannot give in. Once you bite the hook, it’s gone. Don’t be a fish going for the bait; the hook is hidden. So no matter what looks good, never ever compromise your spirit, never compromise your goal.

We need to be able to set aim on the goal and never lose it. No matter what’s out there, let it never hook you. Never bite it. It’s a one-man show. Self entertain. Let the world cheer for you voluntarily. There is at least one person who will cheer for you. That will be yourself. You can select your audience. Even if there are zero people to cheer for you, you cheer for yourself. But do not look for people to cheer for you; lest you lose your integrity. Do not compromise your own integrity and your spirit. When you want something so badly, this is when you begin to compromise. But if you do it for dialectical reasons, you can entertain yourself, but never compromise your spirit. Be flexible. This does not mean compromise. Flexible means be more skillful, more logical. This just means you are a good actor or actress. Your purpose is to unite all generations and find your way home.

Your destiny is to find a way to unite with the spirits within you, to serve the immortal within. There are two of you, an inside and an outside. Sometimes the frequency is different at the same time. Your true purpose is to merge the two to one. You need your own “marriage maker.” It is about how to make the “Snake” line go away into the void.

Stillness is the Origin of the Tao

The Three Treasures of the Body are Jing, Qi and Shen. There are two forms of Jing. Yang Jing or pre-heaven Jing is the basic energy of the body, the power of birth. Yin Jing or post-heaven Jing is the essence of food and water. Qi has two forms: pre-heaven or Yuan Qi is associated with the Kidney Yang Qi, and Zhen or post-heaven Qi which has Yin and Yang manifestations. Zhen Qi comes from air, food and water. Shen also has two forms: Yuan Shen or original spirit and Shi Shen or intelligence.

The road to immortality starts with transmuting Jing to Qi, Qi to Shen and returning the Shen to the Void and uniting the Void with the Tao.

How to start? Be still, look within. Wu Wei Er Wu Bu Wei – stop emotion, be happy, save Jing. They say Qi Gong will be the science of the 21st/22nd centuries. Qi Gong includes many healing methods or arts such as:
• Bu Qi – emit Qi to heal others, to give without expecting return.
• Herbal Medicine – Traditional Chinese Medicine – the key is to balance Qi.
• Acupuncture – based on the 20 meridians – 12 primary and 8 minor, 720 points.
• Dem Ma – Martial Arts healing – dangerous! 24 hour circuit of Qi – 2 hours per meridian within specific timing – you halt the body clock through Qi application to specific points.
• Acupressure – mental Qi application
• Massage – physical – Tui Na hands on massage and Qi Gong Tui Na with hands off.
• Tai Chi
• Pien Fang – unusual prescription: such as steaming the legs with herbs to relieve issue, urine on bee stings, raw potato juice for constipation.

Qi is the life force or vital force. Jing is the essence of the body, the power of life. Yin Jing transmutes to Yang Jing. Food and water transmute to blood, flow to the heart to the Ren Channel and to Yin Jing. Yin Jing then moves to the ovaries/testes and becomes egg/sperm. Nutrition is the key to life.

We heal with Yuan Qi. Every healing is a “self-suicide” because it uses our pre-heaven Qi. We must rebuild the Qi. If we take care of our Jing then we are okay.

To save Jing be still.

To save Jing - Wu Wei – do nothing – Er Wu Bu Wei – and leave nothing undone. Smile more. Transmuting Jing to Qi is the first level.

Suppression of original spirit causes depression, anger. Anger goes to the liver, grief to the lung, sadness to the stomach, fear to the kidneys. Let go of the emotion, let go of fear, let go of attachment, let go of sadness, let go of anger. Then you are virtuous to yourself.

The motion during meditation is the Jing transmuting to Qi. Healing without medicine!

Be stillness, look inside, stop. Free emotion, let go of ego, accept the nature of self and follow the flow of life. Are you a practitioner or an observer? Take action now. Life is full of joy.

The original spirit gives you messages during sleep and dreams. It sneaks out of the back room. When Jing is very strong you can remember your dreams. Jing and Qi are the water for the fish – the spirit. Stop emotional, physical and spiritual abuse. The original nature of mankind is kindness. First you must learn to be kind to yourself. Then you can be kind to others. Accept your grief or sorrow, your emotions, so that you can let them go. Admit you have the emotion. Accept your nature. Be a practitioner, take action, get on the path. Be a master of the game of life. Enjoy it.

Stillness is the body. The ocean is not equal to the wave, the ocean is equal to stillness. Stillness is the origin of the Tao, of the cosmos. Can you find the moment of stillness?

Leading a Spiritual Life

Life is too short for being afraid. What are the things that you are most afraid of, most hopeful for?

If I think that the world never revolved for me, it never danced for me, am I right? The world always goes on and makes its own pattern. If you wish it were beautiful, it turns out ugly or upside down. You can wish someone say you’re sexy but they say you’re ugly. Can you change the world? I can change my world! You cannot change the world until you are able to change yourself because the world always follows its own way.

Are you being faithful and truthful as you consider what’s really in your heart about your fears and hopes? You have to feel your own personal existence when you face your worst fears. Face the reality not the illusion of the fear. Feel your body – the most important gift that you have. Bring awareness into your body – bite your finger, feel pain, take a breath, still breathing, jiggle your butt, feel that you are alive! This is our most important gift. Feel that you are a living being. You can feel yourself, feel your heart beating, feel your comfort zone. Once you feel that then everything becomes simple. This is real – all the feelings outside are unreal. Take care of what is immediately real. At least bite your finger, take a breath. We talk about life and death being two sides of the coin – this is an illusional concept. In reality think we are always living, but in fact we live in so many dimensions, illusions of mind, or material mind thinks this is life, when the body dissolves we think that is death. Truly we have no life or death concept. We have one journey – life, death, etc. This is a journey – this life. We hope that the next journey is more beautiful. The highest achievement is when we don’t have to return, that we become immortal and go to our true home.

Where is your true home? Most determine where home is by emotion: heart, everywhere, the concept is very blurry. You have a limited ability to see and identify home. You get lost – you are lost sheep.

What does spirituality mean to you? Many people think if they do yoga, eat healthy, behave compassionately, do good works, etc. they are spiritual. But that’s not really it. Truly its about living in accordance with your true essence. In everyday life, what have you seen that someone thinks is spiritual but it’s not? Church goers who don’t practice a really good life; abuse of power by religious leaders; always giving but never receiving.

If you pretend then you are the biggest victim. You are creating and growing spiritual cancer cells that will bring you closer to death faster: un-virtuous gain of one penny will bring you one inch closer to the coffin. Pretending to be a master or a spiritual person when the motions that you take in your life are not masterful will take you closer to death. True spirituality is 24 hours per day maintain the same conscience, mercy and forgiveness – 3 treasures of the Tao. Can someone be truly spiritual if they don’t know about cultivation? Yes.

Spirituality has different kinds of quality – human vs. saint vs. immortal. We’re all different. Ordinary people are also different between them. As long as all human – our measurement of development is the degrees of mercy, conscience and forgiveness. Are you faithful to the 3 treasures or do you just pretend? Are you different with different people? Sometimes people will reveal that they are inconsistent. If it is intellectual, it is not truly spiritual.

If no longer human, the Three Treasures are still the measure. One of the Buddhas would say – if I don’t go to hell first, who will go? Why would Buddha go to hell first? He has great passion for the people in hell so that he can empty it out. The quality of Three Treasures defines spiritual level. Human spiritual level and immortal spiritual level are different. First we are in the mud and we are human. We must walk in this path first and be the best human first. However spiritual we feel today it is in the human realm of spiritual. Understand then what conscience means, mercy means and forgiveness means. When we become the best human, only then can we become immortal. Don’t fantasize – be real – don’t judge the world around you. Be in it.

Tao and Relationship

The most important relationship is to the self. If you don’t love yourself how can you love any other? If you say “I Love You”, what do you really mean? If you don’t know yourself truly, with loving compassion, how can you say “I love you”. If you don’t know how/what love is for yourself. So the next time you say “I love you” to your honey make sure you truly know what you mean. Bring out this joy and happiness from the bottom of your heart and share it.

What about saying “I forgive you”? Do you truly mean it? Or are you doing a favor? Can you really forgive? Do you forgive yourself? Most people can’t truly forgive. Our ego is too strong.

What about family relationship? When you try to fit in with others you lose yourself. You lose your dignity and self-respect. If you lose yourself you get depressed, angry, you lose your balance. When you lose yourself, you lose the connection between material “I” and “dashed I” (Shen) and then the mystery cannot unfold. This is most important: your relationship with yourself. Why can’t you be merciful to yourself? Your Self needs your compassion the most.

First win in your own head that you are not a victim. Don’t suffer a situation because you are the only victim. There is no such thing as a dead-end. Only you create a dead-end. Bow to your opponent. If life gives you a lot of stress, say “Thank-you” for the obstacles because it makes life more fun. The obstacles make life more interesting. Obstacles are your master. Without an opponent you don’t have a fight. Respect your enemy and love your opponent. Successful people are those who don’t see a dead-end.

Do nothing and leave nothing undone.

The five senses are the five thieves that steal your Jing or basic life force, basic material. When Jing and Qi deteriorate then Shen deteriorates. For a happy fish (Shen) you need enough clean water and food (water = Jing and Qi). If the Jing and Qi quality are bad then the quality of the spirit is not so good. Luck knocks on the door of those who have good Qi. Qi is a free buffet. If you don’t have the motivation to get off the couch, then you can only blame yourself. If your Shen level is decreased then you can’t recognize when luck knocks on your door. You must take the first step to build up the level of your Jing and Qi. Your 6th, 7th, and 8th senses will save you, allow you to recognize the mystery beyond the obvious. You must trust the unknown. Confusion is good.
